  • Contact me about setting up an initial face to face consultation where we consider your individual needs and requirements an nail down your goals. I can set up an individual program just for you. There after I will work with you through a convenient combination of in person, email and face to face zoom meetings to make sure you stay on track.

Introduction to Ultralight

Backpacking


Half day seminar: learn
  •  about lightweight gear
  • where to buy gear and personal preferences and comfort.
  • the big three
  • clothing , food and water basics
  • safety issues
  • conditioning
  • how to make decisions - choosing gear, maintaining an overview of your location on paper or in your head. rudimentary direction finding

$100 and minimum of two persons in attendence

Weekend Seminar
 includes all the material from the half day seminar plus:

  • discussion of why connection to nature, to your very personal environment and to the world at large is essential for unlocking your potential 
  • What nature can teach us
  • What lightweight backpacking can teach you about how to relate to the world, focus on your goals and contribute to society
  • How embodiment is the secret to sucess in anything you want to do. 
  • How we can improve our confidence, and build resiliency through overcoming obstacles 
  • $200 with at least three participants required 

Guided overnight on the PCT

$200 with a minimum of four persons for this to be offered
some fitness restrictions may apply
Gear may be purchased directly from The Aware Athlete or self supplied. Some gear may be rented. You must attend a free zoom meeting on gear prior to the hike.
